FAQ
How do you play freaky 21 questions?
Same as classic 21 questions — take turns, answer honestly — but the questions escalate across three rounds of 21. Start with the warm-up round even if you’re tempted to skip: the build-up is what makes round three land.
Does freaky 21 questions work over text?
It’s arguably best over text — one question per message, and the response time becomes part of the game. A “typing…” bubble that appears and disappears twice on question 9 tells you more than the answer will.
How freaky is too freaky?
These stay flirty and bold, not explicit — the game runs on tension, not shock value. Both players get one pass per round, and “pass” on a big question is its own kind of answer. Read the room and let the rounds do the escalating.
Who should you play this with?
Someone where there’s already a spark — a date, a crush, a “what are we” situation. It’s an 18+ list by vibe rather than by content, and it will absolutely change the temperature of the conversation. That’s what it’s for.
